Resistance Welding

MacGregor Welding Systems manufactures a comprehensive range of DC resistance welding power supplies incorporating either Linear DC or HFDC technologies. These products range from 600A through to 18,000A output capability, offering high precision and weld monitoring features as standard.

Typically Linear units find application in small precision micro joining applications while HFDC units offer excellent control at higher current levels, often replacing conventional capacitor discharge and inverter technologies where close process control and repeatability is a requirement.

MacGregor Welding Systems also offer a broad range of precision weld heads including opposed, parallel gap, automation modules, compliant tip assemblies, servo driven and constant force heads together with electrodes and other welding accessories. 

Micro Arc

MacGregor Welding Systems offers a range of micro arc welding power supplies specifically aimed at the precision small coil termination market. Micro Arc TIG is suitable for all industries involved in wire to pin joining for coil leadout wires and is commonly used by relay coil and actuator manufacturers. Both single and multi-output systems can be configured to customer requirements.

Droplet Deposition Equipment

Droplet Deposition Equipment (DDE) was developed as a joint venture between Philips and MacGregor Welding Systems and is designed as an alternative to conventional arc welding techniques and soldering. It is a system which produces discrete metal droplets for joining of materials.
