Resistance Welding
Resistance welding is the joining of two similar or disimilar materials by passing the current through the materials and an interface. The heat that results from the resistance in the current path creates the weld. The use of this process allows for localised heating and bonding of materials.
MacGregor Welding Systems produces a number of resistance welding products including power supplies, weld heads, distribution units and various accessories. Applications testing, process development and pre-production welding services are provided to help maximise the results and quality obtained from MacGregor Welding Systems equipment.
Power Supplies

Monitoring
 | All our units are closed loop controlled with the ability to download all weld data. Our Weld Comm programmes enable this data to be logged and presented in a concise format for both instantaneous and subsequent analysis. Weld force monitoring and displacement monitoring options are also available both as embedded or stand alone units. Hand held force gauges with data logging capability are available and are an essential tool for reliable process set up. |
Distribution Systems
We offer a unique capability of providing multiple head operation from a single power supply. This is an ideal method of minimising capital cost yet providing flexibility. Electrodes and Accessories
A wide range of electrodes and thermodes is available from MWS, including purpose designed products in many different materials. Electrode cleaning products and jigs are also available.
