Twin Loop HFDC
MacGregor HFDC welding power supplies offer a unique and innovative solution to high current DC welding applications, providing excellent process response and high duty cycles.
MacGregor Welding Systems have pioneered the use of a twin electronic servo loop system which minimises electrical losses while dynamically adjusting to welding loads and processes with unprecedented speed (~20 µ seconds). The result is an unsurpassed electrical performance across the entire range of the machine giving extremely fast repsonse rates with negligible ripple, enabling the machine to adapt to the conditions of the weld and maximise its control effectiveness.
MacGregor HFDC units overcome the inherent response delays and higher ripple levels found in conventional DC inverter welding supplies by combining two fast response analogue feedback loops in combination with a unique variable frequency power switching system. This combination delivers the most reliable and accurate welding HFDC output control available anywhere in the world today.
The m1-40, m2, and m3 series of micro welding power supplies all use the MacGregeor HFDC system and are generally specified as alternatives to, or improvements upon conventional inverter systems or capacitor discharge welding products in applications that require close, repeatable and reliable welding process control and monitoring.
For lower current, high precision welding applications, we also supply Linear DC resistance welding equipment with embedded graphical process monitoring. Click here for more information on Linear units.
